The project includes extensive 18-month pilot trails on an adequate number of low vision patients in order to fine tune and optimize project’s tools and services, as well as feedback from relevant scientific associations. Action is not only aimed at the development of the supportive tools and solutions but also in training people with low-vision in their use. The Laboratory of Experimental Ophthalmology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which has significant and long-lasting experience in supporting low-vision patients, will carry out the relevant action.
This aims to develop a fully integrated ICT platform and an awareness system in order to :
Substantially assist low vision (LV) patients in carrying out communications and improve their level of living.
