The 23rd Ever Conference was successfully held, "Causes of low vision in the Greek population" was the topic presented by Albanidou S., Almaliotis D., Karamitopoulos L., Topouzis F., Konstas A., Karabatakis V. where he took the 1st award as "Best New Researcher in Epidemic / Molecular Biology Category".

    The Laboratory of Experimental Ophthalmology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki successfully participated in the 33rd European Ophthalmology Conference, which took place in Madrid, Spain on 14th – 15th of November, 2019. The representatives of the university (Karampatakis V., Almaliotis D., Karamitopoulos L., Kalliris G., Almpanidou S.) made an appearance with their presentation entitled: “Design and validation of a novel color test to assess patients with visual impairment”.

    The Laboratory of Experimental Ophthalmology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki successfully participated in the 33rd International Conference of HSIOIRS (Hellenic Society of Intraocular Implant and Refractive Surgery) which was held, in combination with the 23rd Winter Conference of ESCRS on February 15-17, 2019 at MEGARO International Conference Center in Athens. The representatives of the university (Almaliotis D., Almpanidou S., supervisor Prof. Karampatakis V.) made an appearance with their presentation entitled: “Color Perception in Patients with Ocular Diseases Leading to Low Vision”.

    The Department of Medicine of the A.U.Th. successfully participated in the 22nd Congress of the European Association for Vision and Eye Research (22nd EVER Congress) which was held in the city of Nis, France between October 17-19, 2019. The representatives of the department (Almpanidou S., Almaliotis D., Labiris G., Karamitopoulos L., Topouzis F., Dardavesis T., Karampatakis V.) made an appearance with their presentation entitled: “Design of a novel low vision questionnaire to evaluate the quality of life and independence”.
